Popsicles are not a solid frozen dessert. They are frozen drinks made with gelatin, which is a mixture of carbohydrates and proteins. It's most commonly made from pectin and gelatin, but it can also be made from other food-grade materials.
Popsicles are made by putting the gelatin-based mixture in the freezer. Once it is frozen, it is shaken to create a slush and the mixture is poured into a mold.
I just discovered this recipe and would love to know how to make popsicles freeze soft.
Here's what I did:
1. I made a mix of equal parts water and kool-aid.
2. I put a bit of mix in a mason jar and used the mason jar as the mold for the popsicles.
3. I put the popsicles in the freezer and they all froze solid.
When i went to buy it today, the sales lady told me that they're no longer carrying it, but that they had some in stock. I didn't ask for a sample, and she didn't offer it. I'm not sure if it's because i'm the first person to ask for a sample, or if it's because she knows it's gone.
