Guangdong TV’s “Today’s Lingnan” Goes Behind the Scenes at Hommy’s Vending Machine Factory
October 7, 2026 · Jiangmen, Guangdong

The film crew from “Today’s Lingnan” was on site at Hommy’s plant in Xinhui, Jiangmen to film the French fries vending machine.
The film team of “Today’s Lingnan” (今日岭南) was invited to visit the production base of Hommy
Enterprise (Xinhui) Co., Ltd. in Jiangmen, Guangdong on October 7, 2026 to witness the full
production process of the company’s smart vending machines.
“Today’s Lingnan” is a business-feature programme aired on the Economic & Sci-Tech Channel
(TVS1) of Guangdong TV. Launched in 2019, the programme highlights the stories of
Guangdong-based enterprises, industries and entrepreneurs, and reaches over 6,000 media
partners nationwide. The trip to Hommy was one event in a series of factory visits, aimed at
letting more people know about the factory and its production.
From steel sheet to finished machine
The crew walked through Hommy’s 30,500-sq-metre factory, following one of the machines from
the raw material to the finished product. The laser cutting station was also filmed while
steel sheets were cut to the required dimensions, and the CNC punching station and press
brake station were also filmed as the panels were formed. The team also recorded the
injection-moulding workshop, where plastic parts are made in-house, and the assembly lines
where the machines are assembled and tested before they are sent away.

A number of machines were put in front of the lens, including Hommy’s french fries machine
and a machine that vended items with a robotic arm. The company also makes ice cream and
frozen yoghurt machines, slush and smoothie vending machines, pizza, popcorn and hot food
vending machines as well as sugarcane juice, popsicle and ice block machines.
30,500 m²
It is the size of Hommy’s plant in Xinhui, Jiangmen where the whole production line from
sheet metal to final assembly is integrated under one roof.
Why a factory tour is important
Hommy was established in 1999 and specializes in making and exporting vending machines and
food-service equipment for overseas clients as well as providing OEM & ODM service. By
having the entire production chain in one place, from sheet metal to moulding to final
assembly, the company is able to manage its quality and lead times—and that’s what the film
team aimed to capture.
For Hommy, the shoot isn’t just a moment in the spotlight. When a buyer is purchasing vending
machines from an overseas supplier, they may only be able to evaluate a company based on a
catalogue and a few photographs. A programme on television goes through the plant, and
provides something a brochure can’t: a third-party perspective on the reality of how the
machines are built.
The feature will be broadcast on the television channel TVS1 of Guangdong TV.
