I have used ice cream makers that can make ice cream in under an hour.  I have also used ice cream makers that can take three to four hours to make a batch of ice cream.  It really depends on the size of your ice cream maker.  

The ice cream maker I have now is a little bigger than most ice cream makers.  I have seen larger ice cream makers take up to eight hours to churn the ice cream.


How much salt do I put in my ice cream maker?


I am looking for the best amount of salt to use to make ice cream. I have a Breville machine. It makes a pound of ice cream at a time. I want to make chocolate chip, cookie dough, and banana ice cream.


I am not sure how much salt to use. I have tried one recipe and it is very salty. The other recipe is a little too sweet for me.
