I'm a big fan of sugarcane juice - at least when its chilled. The pulp left after the juice is extracted from sugarcane leaves (the juice) can be frozen for later use, for example for a milkshake. If the juice is filtered then a lot of the sugars stay in the juice, and you have a purer juice with a much higher sugar content.That's my reasoning behind buying and storing sugarcane juice in the fridge, and it certainly works. It would also work to store juice in the fridge after the pulpy residue has been frozen. However, a problem arises - how do you store the filtered juice in a bottle, if the pulp isn't allowed to stay in the bottle.
